The International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT), established in 1990 by Mr. R.D. Lal, an alumnus of the London School of Design, U.K., has witnessed remarkable growth over its 30 years of operation. It has emerged as one of the largest fashion institutes in Asia, offering comprehensive education in fashion design courses, interior design programs, and other design-related disciplines.

IIFT's Ranchi Centre, inaugurated in 2002, marks the institute's first foothold in Jharkhand. Headquartered in New Delhi, it operates under the leadership of Mr. R.D. Lal, providing education in both fashion and interior design.

The fashion design courses and interior design programs offered are meticulously crafted by the head office and are regularly updated to reflect industry standards. Upon completion, students are afforded equal placement opportunities, with many securing positions at prominent export houses and production units in Delhi. The institute organizes numerous events where students actively participate, enhancing their practical experience.

IIFT is the only institute in Jharkhand that has provided its students with an international platform, taking them to Kathmandu for a prestigious fashion show. Our students have also showcased their designs in events like the Rashtriya Khadi Paridhan Utsav and have dressed renowned models on various occasions.

In addition to standard curriculum, the institute emphasizes personality development, conducting dedicated classes and seminars at the Ranchi Centre. Students are encouraged to engage in presentations and speeches on diverse topics, further honing their communication skills.
